WORDS

Finally, I'm going to blog some words. ; ) Gina and Brooklyn are looking over my shoulder so that I will finally learn to blog. Brooklyn was just amazed that I typed so fast, and her mom said, 'She gets paid to type that fast.' Words. I'm always involved with words. Typing them. Listening to others. Writing. Talking. I'm not always good with my words, but I want to be. In fact, I did a word study in the Bible on words this past week. It was very convicting. I want to blog about my children and grandchildren, my life, my marriage - good words that say something. Here's a short little diddy I typed up yesterday to remind me to use good words. Lord, I so need reminding!

WORDS
  • Worthy, not Worthless, Words
  • Spoken in Love
  • Based in Truth and Wisdom
  • From a Quiet and Gentle Spirit
  • Encouraging, Full of Grace
  • Necessary and Kind
  • Reflecting God's Heart
  • Honoring and Pleasing to Him

"If you utter worthy, not worthless, words, you will be My spokesperson." - God (Jer. 15:19) "May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and myRedeemer." - Psalm 19:14

Another scripture says, "Let my words be few." so I'll sign off for now. I certainly don't have all the above together, far from it, but it is my prayer to be His spokesperson.

LAKE LBJ WITH THE KIDS

In June Bill and I took the six oldest grandchildren to Lake LBJ. Gina and Jason joined us as well. What a fun time! We rented a three bedroom lakehouse with dock and boat house. The kids were usually in the water at the dock or taking turns tubing and riding in the boat. The below picture was taken at Longhorn Cavern. It was my 'inspiration' to start a serious diet, which is working. ; )
Here, Hobby Bill is getting ready to pull Natiebug and Brooklyn on the tube. Wow, I love to hear all those girls giggling!

How cool is it to have tent in the den! This was a 'staged' picture. It was actually boys who got the tent one night, and the girls the next. Those kids get along so well.
